FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — A high-speed pursuit involving deputies with the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office is currently underway north of Flagstaff on U.S. 180, according to radio traffic.
The pursuit began near the elementary school in Fort Valley after deputies attempted a traffic stop on a driver reported to be passing vehicles in the wrong lane, speeding, and driving recklessly.
During the chase, one deputy advised over the radio that they collided with the rear of the suspect vehicle. Despite the impact, the suspect continued fleeing at a high rate of speed in the area of U.S. 180 and Woody Mountain Road.
The deputy involved in the crash reported no injuries; however, their patrol vehicle is disabled and no longer operable.
The suspect vehicle is described as a white truck with visible rear-end damage.
Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers have joined the pursuit and are requesting assistance from the Flagstaff Police Department. Authorities have also deployed spike strips ahead of the suspect in an attempt to bring the pursuit to an end.

UPDATE 9:17 PM: Deputies say the driver is a Juvenile. State Troopers are possibly out with the suspect vehicle and the DPS Helicopter is also overhead. This is taking place on the US180 near Snow Bowl Rd.
UPDATE 9:20 PM: State Troopers have the driver in custody.
